The power of social media is a very interesting subject. It is also fascinating how individuals and businesses apply social media. Mitch Joel, on his podcast Six Pixels of Separation, had promoted Bryan Person's Social Media Breakfasts (SMB). Robert Lane, of overlay.tv, was our host.
Being a relative new comer to social media, it was an eye-opener. The implications are mind boggling and very exciting. It was nice to discuss social communication issues with those of like mind. The SMB is a great exchange of information, ideas, methodlogy and technology. I highly recommend attending such an event. The next Ottawa Social Media Breakfast is tentively slated for September 16, 2008.
